Public Speaking When You'd Rather Die

  • The Substation 4228 Washington Street Boston, Massachusetts, 02131 United States (map)

Growing your career effectively is more than just knowing how to do the job, and sitting through seminars and motivational speeches can only take you so far.

What you'll do: Come playfully practice the practical skills often not taught, but wholly sought after by employers. Whether it's elevating your ability to lead confidently, navigating change in a digital landscape, or advocating for your next promotion, these skills can open up a new tier of opportunities for your professional life.

What is it? Career Glow Up is a set of six experiential workshops designed to create a supportive space for practice, discovery, and development. Come to one, some, or all!

When is it?: Saturdays, 2P - 4P, between January 16 - March 27, 2027

The 6 workshops are:

  • January 16: How to Network Without Hating Yourself

  • January 30: Calm the Chaos! Turn Twists into Triumphs

  • February 13: Excel on the Spot: How to Not Crumble Under Pressure

  • February 27: We Should Talk: Skills for Hard Conversations

  • March 13: Public Speaking When You'd Rather Die

  • March 27: What's Next? Craft Your Career Compass

You can learn more about each individual workshop here.

How it works: The Career Glow-Up series is designed to be flexible. Each workshop is available as a drop-in, and also builds upon prior workshops. On the registration page, you’ll be able to select how many workshops you’d like to attend. The more workshops you commit to, the more you’ll save off the cost of a single workshop!

Who is this for? These workshops are ideal for curious professionals who appreciate a creative, interactive group learning environment and want to invest in themselves to build a more fulfilling career!
